The Load Path
Weight presses down through every tier into the stone at the base. The base bears all; the apex is borne.

The Test
Remove a tier. What you can take away without collapse is what you do not truly rest upon.
Let it stand — the load flows down the axis and the foundation glows with the weight it carries. Then take the apex: the spire releases and the structure holds, because cash is what it produces, not what holds it up. Then take the foundation: everything comes down. Flip the load path and watch the bearing stone change from gold to pale — the old world rested on capital and wore its culture as ornament; this one rests on its conscience.
